Jen received her Master of Social Work Degree from Aurora University and continually works to keep herself familiar with new therapies and methods in the profession. Meghan Cepek, MA, LCPC Therapist When Meghan first meets someone, she wants to get to know them first as a person and then she will work together as a team with the client to help them become the person that they want to be. She strives to create a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients that is based on trust and respect. She will create interventions that are made specifically for a certain person, and are a combination of evidence-based strategies and creative interventions. She has experience working with a wide range of ages, disorders and cultural backgrounds. Meghan received her Master of Counseling Psychology from Trinity Christian College and continually works to keep herself familiar with new therapies and methods in the field. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Karla Rodriguez, MA Therapist Karla recognizes the many struggles clients experience and how therapy can be intimidating. She strives to make all her patients feel welcome and safe with her warm and comforting presence. Anxiety, depression grief, immigration, ageism, bullying and individuals on the Autism Spectrum are all areas of particular interest for Karla. She believes all clients are unique and she is willing to meet them halfway on their journey to healing. Karla is a Master's graduate from Roosevelt University where she obtained her Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills and enhanced them while studying and being an intern. She is excited to join the practice while continuing to grow her clinical skills. Additionally, Karla is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English and is comfortable providing therapy in either language. Arlene Langley, MSW, LCSW, MAEd Therapist We live in a stressful world. There may be pressures coming at us from every angle...work, parents, children, friends, spouses, world events. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming. We are doing the best we can, but perhaps we want to make things a bit easier for ourselves. We can all benefit from having someone to talk to to process our thoughts and emotions. Since everyone is unique, Arlene begins by listening to understand the client's needs. She then works together with the client to set manageable, realistic goals that are important to the client. For over 20 years my clients and I have addressed concerns from everyday stress to severe mental health issues using various modes of counseling with which each client is comfortable. She believe that all people are capable of reaching their goals. She sees herself as a guide, helping clients discover their own inner strengths and gifts so they can make positive changes. Clients have wisdom and are teachers as well as learners. Her goal is to provide a safe place and a calming presence that will allow clients to talk openly and heal.
